Serventa of Motherega
The high-stakes of an epic historical drama
This is a compelling moment of tragedy and personal betrayal within the epic Serventa series! It focuses on the last days of a legendary civilization and a cruel twist of fate.
Synopsis
Motherega has now evolved over many millions of years, ruled by Serventa and Karras, who have reincarnated as Rahiti and Téquarth. The Crystal is now in place in the glass room at the top of the minaret tower above the new Temple. Thermal energy is drawn from the earth at a power station built on the bay of the city.
The education system is explained a little, so very different from today's methods and far better. Rahiti helps some individuals with her particular psychological approach and understanding. The High Priest, Marmanus, is corrupt and discovered. He is not executed, but under Rahiti's ruling, he is banished to another village far away. Some years later, during a festival, everyone is celebrating with drinking and partying. Zakatarus and his crew have returned from their sea voyage only to find everything is in chaos. Nobody is looking after their responsibilities, and the power station is left unattended. Things are breaking down.
During the celebrations, the following day, Rahiti addresses her people in the city square. Marmanus returns from his banishment and declares he wants to make amends, but takes the opportunity to slaughter Rahiti. The power station erupts, and the planet is destroyed as it folds in on itself about five million years ago.
